Continuing his search for a voice in his creativity, he studied the conversations begun by Claude Monet and the Impressionist movement. As a result Joshua developed his own style called "Folk Impressionism". Using only flat paints and a drag technique enables him to create beautiful images through contrasts of color. Influenced by life on the coast, Joshua paints light, water and life.
