This is part of Country / No Country series exploring rural and urban, travel and home, man and wilderness, and the places where they all fold together.
I went to Mexico in 2004 for several months- these are paintings of sculptures in Rufino Tumayo's collection (a Mexican painter). The sculptures moved me because of how expressive the forms were- the gestures and distortion of the figures told so many stories.
