Gallop is a beautiful painting from Martha Asaph's Snowscapes. Here she portrays her fascination with the kinetics of art conveying a sense of movement, depth, and emotion. Environmental effects are added through abstraction that an overlay of snow brings. Each painting captures a moment from a story in the wild.

This series of paintings feature horses in motion. Some have additional figures that give impetus to the action depicted. I use a classic technique involving multiple translucent layers. When I feel I have a good representation of the figures in my painting I make it snow.
