Roots Up Gallery is very excited to share Herbert Albin's (1919-2006) lifetime collection of wood mosaics, also known as marquetry. Herbert began working in this medium after his retirement as concertmaster with the Symphony Orchestras of Charleston and Augusta. For two decades he worked with exotic tonewoods creating incredibly intricate pieces ranging in an array of subject matter.
