“Harmony/The Gentle Soul of Danette Sperry” will be the self-taught artist’s first solo exhibition in Savannah. Addressing mythical, natural, interpersonal and domestic scenes, the show will feature paintings such as the fairytale-like tableau “Forest Angel”; “Angel of Happiness,” a symbolic, full-length portrait; and “Grizzly Bear,” a large, textural rendering of a grizzly by a stream.
